Key Part of Mumbai’s Monsoon Preparedness

The drain desilting drive is one of the most crucial components of Mumbai’s monsoon preparedness programme. The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) continues to closely monitor the work to reduce incidents of waterlogging and ensure the swift flow of rainwater during periods of heavy rainfall.

Officials believe the extensive cleaning and desilting efforts will help improve the city’s drainage capacity and mitigate flooding risks during the monsoon season.
