The festival of Vijayadashami is celebrated with great enthusiasm across the country. Every year, the Shiv Sena party organizes a Dussehra Melava at Shivaji Park in Dadar.
This year too, it is reported that both Shiv Sena factions will hold gatherings.
A large crowd of workers, office bearers and leaders of both parties are expected to visit Mumbai on October 2. For this, the traffic police has issued advisory with several restrictions in place for smooth flow of vehicles and convivence.
Roads with parking restrictions:
1. Swatantraveer Savarkar Marg, (Siddhivinayak Mandir Junction to S Bank Signal)
2. Keluskar Road (South) and Keluskar (North), Dadar.
3. M. B. Raut Marg, (S. V. S. Road) Dadar.
4. Pandurang Naik Marg, (M. B. Raut Road) Dadar
5. Dadasaheb Rege Marg, (Senapati Bapat Statue to Gadkari Chowk) Dadar
6. Dilip Gupte Marg, (Shivaji Park Gate No. 5 to Shitladevi Road) Dadar.
7. N. C. Kelkar Marg (Hanuman Mandir to Gadkari Chowk), Dadar
8. L.J. Road, Raja Bade Junction to Gadkari
Roads where entry is prohibited for vehicles and alternative routes:
1. Swatantra Veer Savarkar Marg (Siddhivinayak Mandir Junction to Kapad Bazar Junction)
Alternative routes: - Siddhivinayak Mandir Junction, S. K. Bole Road, Agar Bazar, Portuguese Church, Gokhale Road should be used.
2. Rajabadhe Chowk Junction to Keluskar Marg North Junction.
Alternate route:- L. J. Road, Gokhale Road-Stillman Junction to Padhe Gokhale Road.
3. South channel from Dilip Gupte Marg, Pandurang Naik Marg Junction.
Alternate route:- L. J. Road should be used from Rajabadhe Junction.
4. Keluskar Road South and North from Gadkari Chowk.
Alternate route:- M. B. Raut Marg should be used.
5. Bal Govindas Marg from Padmabai Thakkar Marg Junction from Senapati Bapat Marg up to L. J. Marg west bound.
Alternate Route: Traffic shall be divreted to Manorama Nagarkar Marg.
6. Dadasahaeb Rege Road From Senapati Bapat Statue to Gadkari Junction.
Alternate Route: Traffic shall be diverted to L. J. Road, Gokhale Road and Ranade Road.
