Mumbai Traffic Police has announced traffic changes in the Saki Naka traffic division. The changes have been made due to the ongoing Metro Line 6 work between Milindnagar and Ganeshghat Selfie Point on Jogeshwari-Vikhroli Link Road (JVLR).

The diversions will be in effect from November 5, 2025 to January 15, 2026, officials said.

An order issued by Pradeep Chavan, Deputy Commissioner of Eastern Suburbs Traffic, said that the change is necessary for the ongoing ‘Elements Launching’ work by Eagle Infra India Limited. Temporary traffic restrictions and alternate routes have been decided to ensure smooth traffic flow and safety of citizens.

The service road on the northbound side of the L&T Flyover on the JVLR from AM Naik Tower Road to Saki Vihar Road will be closed for all vehicles.

Instead, motorists can take an alternate route via JVLR northbound at Ganeshghat Selfie Point, go under the Rambagh Bridge, take a U-turn, and return via Ganeshghat Selfie Point southbound towards Powai Junction and Saki Vihar Road.

Mumbai Traffic Police has appealed to the citizens to use alternative routes during this period and cooperate.

Additionally, Mumbai Police also announced restrictions for traffic on the Bhandup-Sonapur (GMLR) route due to Metro 4 works.

The first trial run of 10 km of Metro Line 4 in Thane was successful on September 22, which is a major milestone for the city's metro project. If the work is not completed, the roads will be closed on November 8 and 9, 2025 for the same hours.

Also, between November 3 and December 31, 2025, one lane at the junction on LBS Road will be closed if necessary.

Police have asked citizens to cooperate by using alternative roads during this period.
