Mumbai Traffic Police Announces No Parking, No Entry, One-way Restrictions Till 9 pm on January 1

On the occasion of the New Year Celebration, various programs are organised in hotels and clubs in and around Juhu Chowpatty. Moreover, a flock of crowds is expected at Juhu beach and ISKCON temple.

Therefore, in order to avoid traffic congestion and from the point of view of public safety within the jurisdiction of the Santacruz Traffic Division, it is necessary to regulate and control vehicular traffic in the said area.

To prevent overcrowding and to ensure smooth flow of traffic, the following traffic arrangements and restrictions shall be in force till 9 pm on January 1.

No Parking Zones:

1. Janardhan Mhatre Road

2. Juhu Church Road (from Birla Junction to Balraj Sahani Road)

3. Gandhi Gram Road

4. Alfred Criedo Road

5. Sant Dnyaneshwar Marg

6. Shyamrao Parulekar Marg (N.S. Road No. 13)

No Entry Roads:

a. Access to Mukteshwar Devalaya Marg from Chandok Chowk (North to South) will be closed for all vehicles except emergency service vehicles, VVIP vehicles, temple vehicles and local residents.

b. Access to Mukteshwar Devalaya Marg from Alfred Criedo Road (South to North) will be closed for all vehicles.

c. Access will be closed from Shyamrao Parulekar Marg (N.S. Road No. 13) towards Sant Dnyaneshwar Marg.

One-way roads:

  • Mukteshwar Devalaya Marg and the road starting from Devle Road Junction (West to East) towards JVPD Junction will be one-way for all vehicles.
  • The road from  Sant Dnyaneshwar Marg Junction - Devle Road Junction (East to West) towards Military road for all vehicles.
