Penguins on public display from 17 March

The much awaited Humboldt penguins will be put up for display at Byculla’s zoo from 17 March. There will be no entry fees till 31 March for Mumbaikars. Shiv Sena president Uddhav Thackeray will inaugurate the department where penguins will be put up for display.

Post 31 March, adults will have to pay Rs. 100 and small children will have to pay Rs. 50.
Byculla zoo authorities will make batches of 100 people as they are estimating that almost 6-7 thousand tourists may throng the zoo to get a glimpse of the penguins. Mumbaikars will get to see these birds from 9 am to 6 pm.
