As per the directives of Municipal Commissioner Dr. Kailas Shinde and under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner Sanjay Shinde, the action was conducted under the supervision of Assistant Commissioner Sukhdev Yedve of the C Division office.
The buildings were classified under the C-1 category, which includes highly dangerous, uninhabitable structures requiring immediate evacuation.
The following buildings were covered under the action:
Jay Maharashtra, JN-2 Type Apartment Owners Association, Plot No. 4, Sector 9, Vashi (Buildings No. 31 to 46 – 16 buildings)
Water and electricity supply has been disconnected.
Little Flower Co-operative Housing Society Ltd., JN-4 Type, Building No. 9, Sector 9, Vashi
Water and electricity supply has been disconnected.
M/s Noor Co-operative Housing Society Ltd., Plot No. 18, Sector 9A, Vashi, Navi Mumbai
Water and electricity supply has been disconnected.
D Type Apartment Owners Association, Buildings D-1 to D-4, Sector 1, Vashi
Water and electricity supply has been disconnected.
Officials stated that the drive involved personnel from the water supply department, electricity department, encroachment department, encroachment police, and local police station.
The civic body has said that such enforcement actions will continue and will be intensified in the future to ensure public safety.
