There will be no water supply in Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) areas including Kharghar and Kamothe on the evening of August 8. This development came as the civic body is taking 12 hours shutdown for maintenance of main pipeline from Morbe dam to Digha ward.
According to the water supply department of NMMC, the Bhokarpada water treatment plant will be shut down on August 8 from 10 am to 10 pm. Therefore, there will be no water supply on August 8 evening.
However, water supply will start with low pressure from Wednesday morning, August 9. The civic body has appealed to the citizens of Kamothe and Kharghar nodes to store water and use it carefully during this period.
