There is no shortage of cooking gas or other fuels in Maharashtra, said State Minister Girish Mahajan, urging people not to panic buy. He said that the supplies are sufficient and are steady. He also added that the Union Government has guaranteed the continued availability of LPG.

A sudden increase in demand over the past five days has caused artificial shortage, said the minister. Panic buying is creating the impression that fuel supplies are running low despite petrol pumps having sufficient stock.

LPG Supply Concerns: Minister Appeals for Calm

Minister Mahajan stated that public fear, fueled by rumours and opposition leaders’ statements, has unnecessarily increased anxiety regarding LPG availability. He emphasized that these factors have created confusion among citizens.

The minister assured that the situation is expected to stabilise within three to four days as demand normalises and supply continues uninterrupted. He urged residents not to hoard fuel and warned that strict action will be taken against those spreading false information on social media.
