Attention Thanekars! No Water Supply for 24 Hours on January 30

Residents of Thane Municipal Corporation areas, including parts of Mumbra, Diva, Kalwa, Majivada–Manpada, and Wagle, will face a 24-hour water supply disruption on Friday, January 30, 2026, due to urgent maintenance work.

Under the Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) water supply scheme, the Jambhul Water Treatment Plant (HSR Reservoir) will undergo upgradation of pipelines 1, 2, and 3, along with urgent repairs and maintenance. The water supply will be completely shut from 12:00 AM on Thursday, January 29, 2026, to 12:00 AM on Friday, January 30, 2026.

During this period, water supply will be completely unavailable in the following areas:

  • Diva and Kalwa ward committees

  • Mumbra wards 26 and 31 (except some parts)

  • Wagle ward committee: Rupadevi Pada, Kisan Nagar No.2, Nehru Nagar

  • Manpada ward committee: Kolashet Khalcha Gaon

After the supply resumes, residents may experience low water pressure for 1–2 days.

The Thane Municipal Corporation Water Supply Department has appealed to citizens to use water judiciously and cooperate during the shutdown.
