Attention Thanekars! No Water Supply in Parts of Thane on October 15

The Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC) has planned essential maintenance work at its own water supply system’s Pise and Temghar Water Treatment Plants, including repairs to the high-pressure substation, control panel maintenance, transformer oil filtration, and other necessary tasks.

As a result, a 12-hour shutdown of the internal water supply system is scheduled on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM.

During this time, water supply from the STEM authority will be maintained in a zoned manner, but certain areas will face a complete water cut.

Areas Affected by the 12-Hour Water Cut:

• Ghodbunder Road

• Vartak Nagar

• Rutu Park

• Jail area

• Gandhinagar

• Rustomjee

• Siddhanchal

• Samtanagar

• Siddheshwar

• Eternity

• Johnson

• Parts of Kalwa

Due to this planned shutdown, low water pressure may continue for 1 to 2 days even after supply resumes, until the system is fully restored.

The Water Supply Department urges citizens to store sufficient water in advance and cooperate with the Thane Municipal Corporation during this period.
