Water supply in parts of Thane will be disrupted on Tuesday, July 22, 2025, due to maintenance work at the Shahad Raw Water Pumping Station. The Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company (MSEDCL) will carry out meter replacement and pipeline leakage repairs, requiring a 24-hour shutdown. As a result, water supply from the STEM authority to Thane Municipal Corporation will be suspended from 9:00 AM on Tuesday to 9:00 AM on Wednesday, July 23, 2025.
To manage the situation, Thane Municipal Corporation has planned a phased, once-a-day water supply using its own water sources. Areas such as Ghodbunder Road, Patlipada, Balkum, Brahmand, Pawar Nagar, Kothari Compound, Dongripada, and Waghbil will not receive water between 9:00 am and 9:00 pm on July 22. Other areas including Samtanagar, Rutupark, Siddheshwar, Eternity, Johnson, Jail area, Saket, Uthalsar, Retibandar, and parts of Kalwa and Mumbra will face water cuts from 9:00 pm on July 22 to 9:00 am on July 23.
