Officers of Road Safety Patrol and Civil Defence awarded for service during the pandemic

Maharashtra Governor, Bhagat Singh Koshyari, recently felicitated the State and district officers of Road Safety Patrol and Civil Defence for their work during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic at Raj Bhavan in Mumbai. The event also included felicitation of social workers and representatives of non governmental organisations for their work during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The award ceremony was organized by the Road Safety Patrol and the Mahatma Gandhi Global Peace Foundation. Present at the occasion were State Commandant of Road Satety Patrol Arvind Deshmukh, Commandant of Thane and Global Ambassador of Mahatma Gandhi Global Peace Foundation Manilal Shimpi and Editor of Swarajya Toran Kishore Patil.

Governor felicitated Arvind Rangrao Deshmukh, Manilal Ratilal Shimpi, Kishor Baliram Patil, Dnyaneshwar Barku Mhatre, President of Maharashtra State Konkan Division Headmasters Association, Yashwant Mahadu Sore, Entrepreneur, social worker, Macchindranath valmik Kadam, Secondary Education Officer, ZP, Nandurbar, Ramchandra Shantaram Desale, Social Worker, Adv. K. D. Patil, Divisional Commandant R.S.P., Balasaheb Bansi Netke, Chief Fire Officer, Ulhasnagar, Shridhar Jayvant Patil, Social Worker, Khana Chahiye Group, Mumbai, Jesus is Life Foundation, Ulhasnagar, Roti De Group, Kalyan and Kutch Yuvak Sangh, Kalyan and a few others

Besides this, he also presented the ‘Angel Communicators’ Awards of the Public Relations Council of India to selected Corona Warriors, the list included, Textiles Minister Aslam Sheikh, former MP Priya Datt, Oncologists Dr Sudeep Gupta and Dr Sailesh Shrikhande, Chief Public Relations Officer of Central Railway Shivaji Sutar, Chief Public Relations Officer of Western Railway Sumit Thakur among others.

Chairman of Mumbai Chapter of Public Relations Council of India Humayun Jafri, Secretary Hemant Kulkarni and office bearers of the Council attended the event.
