Petrol prices hit a new high; Mumbaikars to pay ₹84 per litre

After the Karnataka Elections, the petrol and diesel prices have reached a new high this week. Petrol has become expensive by 33 paise and diesel by 26 paise.

Of all the cities, Mumbai stands the highest with petrol prices touching ₹84 per litre but Hyderabad beats Mumbai with diesel price set at ₹73.72 per litre. Before the assembly elections in Karnataka, there was no change in the prices for petrol and diesel. 

However, over the past seven days, the prices have seen a massive increase. In Delhi, the petrol and diesel prices have increased to 76 per litre and 62 per litre, respectively. For a couple of weeks, the prices of price and diesel were on a constant rise in the country.
