CR To Carry Out Mega Block on Asangaon–Tanshet Section from June 6–7; Click for more details

The Central Railway’s Mumbai Division will undertake a special traffic and power block between Asangaon and Tanshet stations from June 6 (Saturday) to June 7 (Sunday) to commission a new electronic interlocking system at Atgaon station and remove the old signalling panel.

The block will be in effect from 2:00 pm on June 6 to 3:00 am on June 7, impacting both long-distance and suburban train operations. The railway administration has announced multiple cancellations, short terminations, diversions, and rescheduling of trains.

Trains Cancelled

  • 11011 CSMT–Dhule Express
  • 11012 Dhule–CSMT Express
  • 12109 CSMT–Manmad Panchavati Express
  • 12110 Manmad–CSMT Panchavati Express

Short Termination / Short Origination

  • 17611 Nanded–CSMT Express (05.06.2026) short-terminated at Manmad
  • 12072 Hingoli Deccan–CSMT Jan Shatabdi (06.06.2026) short-terminated at Nashik Road
  • 17612 CSMT–Nanded Express (06.06.2026) short-originated from Manmad
  • 12071 CSMT–Hingoli Jan Shatabdi (06.06.2026) short-originated from Nashik Road

Train Rescheduling (Down Trains)

Several long-distance trains including CSMT–Howrah Mail, CSMT–Amritsar Express, CSMT–Gorakhpur Special, LTT–Shalimar Express, LTT–Banaras Superfast, LTT–Patliputra Express, LTT–Hatia Express, and LTT–Gorakhpur Kushinagar Express will be rescheduled and depart several hours late from CSMT or LTT on June 6–7.

Diversions

Multiple trains will be diverted via alternate routes:

  • LTT–Ballia Kamayani Express
  • Dadar–Gorakhpur Special
  • Panvel–Gorakhpur Express
  • CSMT–Ballarshah Express
  • Dadar–Sainagar Shirdi Express (via Kalyan–Kalyan–Pune–Shirdi route)
  • Devgiri Express (via Kalyan–Kalyan–Pune–Daund–Manmad route)

Suburban Train Impact

During the block period, no suburban services will be available between Asangaon and Kasara.

Short Termination of Suburban Services:

  • CSMT–Kasara locals between 11:42 am and 8:44 pm will terminate at Asangaon
  • 9:32 pm local will terminate at Khadavli
  • 10:47 pm local will terminate at Titwala
  • 12:08 am local (next day) will terminate at Kalyan
  • Kasara–CSMT locals between 1:31 pm and 10:00 pm will terminate at Asangaon

First and Last Local Trains:

  • Last down local before block: 10:16 am CSMT–Kasara (June 6)
  • First down local after block: 4:19 am CSMT–Kasara (June 7)
  • Last up local before block: 12:19 pm Kasara–CSMT (June 6)
  • First up local after block: 3:51 am Kasara–CSMT (June 7)

Officials clarified that no mega block will be carried out on the CSMT–Kalyan main line section during this period. Railway authorities have advised passengers to check revised schedules before travel and plan accordingly due to widespread disruptions.
