Monday, January 22, has been declared a public holiday by the Maharashtra state on the occasion of the ‘pran pratishtha’ (consecration ceremony) of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya. Before this, the governments of Uttar Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Goa have also declared a holiday on January 22, when the idol of Lord Ram will be consecrated in Ayodhya.
The grand ceremony will be chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and attended by many VVIPs, and will begin on January 22. A team of priests will perform the rituals of consecration of Lord Ram temple on January 22.
