Borivali – Unauthorised shanties adjacent to railway tracks stretching across Dahisar to Borivali in Western Railway has become a cause of concern for the railway department.
These shanties are sold in lakh of rupees to the buyers as shops. In regard to the matter, BMC Commissioner Vijay Kamble was contacted who refused to help stating, this does not come under our department. When contacted senior inspector Sanjiv Pimple he didn’t attend the call. The growing shanties alongside railway tracks is a major problem for railways.
