On Wednesday, August 18, Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) informed that it has shut down its manufacturing units at Nagothane town in Maharashtra.
According to reports, the RIL further stated, "This is to inform that the Company has taken shutdown of its manufacturing units at Nagothane, Maharashtra to assure reliability and integrity of operations," Moreover, the company asserted that the supplies of product to the consumers are to remain continual through available stocks and diverting from other manufacturing sites. “Complex is expected to be back into normal operation from August 25, 2021," it added.
Meanwhile, Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) has announced an ambitious plan to inoculate 1.3 million of its associates, partners, employees, and their families with the coronavirus vaccine at zero cost. This will be the largest corporate vaccine drive in India and will be carried out across 880 cities.
The beneficiaries will also include employees of associates and partner corporations as well as retired employees and their family members, a statement put out by RIL said adding that it aims to “substantially reduce the pressure on public health systems and help India counter the pandemic challenges more effectively.” The definition of family in this context includes parents, children, spouse, grandparents, siblings, and parents in law. The corporation specified that employees will also include in-store workers of over 13,000 Reliance Retail and Jio outlets across India.
