A clubhouse for doctors which will be constructed at Purandare stadium, Naigaon, is again being opposed by the residents and former mayor Shraddha Jadhav, fearing that children will have no place to play sports, raised an objection in the meeting of the works committee (city) meeting at Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) demanding that no clubhouse should be constructed at Naigaon’s Purandare stadium.

Jadhav pointed out in a meeting that if doctors can play carrom and other indoor games at KEM Hospital’s club, why do they need a separate clubhouse at Purandare stadium?

She said that if people come on the streets opposing the same, then Shiv Sena will come out in support of them. For now, city committee president Arundhati Dudhwadkar has reserved the objection.
