The Siddhivinayak Temple Trust in Prabhadevi, Mumbai, has decided to expand the temple. For this, it will purchase the three-storey Ram Mansion building located nearby for a whopping Rs 100 crore.

A plan is being prepared for darshan at the Siddhivinayak Temple on the lines of the Saibaba Temple in Shirdi. The Siddhivinayak Temple decided to purchase the building to solve the problem of queues. The trust has started activities for this.

The temple trust has started discussions with the Siddhivinayak Cooperative Housing Society for the purchase. The site will provide a total of 1,800 square meters of space to the temple. Many facilities will be provided for the devotees on that site.

The Times of India has reported the purchase of the Ram Mansion building near the temple for Rs 100 crore, quoting Siddhivinayak Temple Treasurer Acharya Pawan Kumar Tripathi.

Tripathi said that the purchase of the Ram Mansion building near the temple is in the final stages. Discussions are also underway with the Siddhivinayak Society. This additional space will give a big boost to the temple's infrastructure and welfare activities.

Meanwhile, the Ram Mansion building was built a few years ago on the site of an old chawl. There are 20 small 1 BHK flats in this building. The owner lives on the top floor of this building. It is being reported that he has given his rooms on rent.

The Ram Mansion building near the Siddhivinayak Temple is spread over an area of 708 square meters. The gate (entrance door) of this building is right in front of the Siddhivinayak Society Temple Trust. The temple administration said that the consolidation of the spaces can lead to the construction of a darshan queue complex like the Saibaba Temple in Shirdi.
