Seven feet long snake spotted at Dadar's Shivaji Park

A shocking incident was reported from Dadar's Shivaji Park on Thursday, October 15, 2020. As per reports, a six to seven feet long snake was found in the park during the day and was hidden in the grass. Mumbai witnessed rainfall on Thursday, and experts believe that the snake would have been found due to the same.

Over the last few days, residents and localities have been complaining about increasing number of snakes in the area, and keeping this in mind, MNS leader Nitin Sardesai also lodged a complaint with the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC). Officials are looking into the matter and finding ways of dealing with the problem.

The park is often visited by a number of fitness enthusiasts and youngsters who play cricket and football. Besides this, it is visited by a number of kids who enjoy their time.  Such incidents have only raised more worries for them, and officials have taken note of this incident. A number of people walk or jog at the park, in the grass, during the day, and snakes pose a threat to their lives

A sense of panic has risen among the residents and visitors, and the concerned local administration has been informed about the same. Citizens complained about today's incident and taking note of the same, MNS leader and former MLA Nitin Sardesai visited Shivaji Park. Upon receiving the information, BMC officials rushed to the spot, and the team was immediately asked to cut the grass. This action has offered temporary relief to the visitors.
