For the convenience of passengers and to clear extra rush of passengers, Western Railway (WR) will run special train on special fare between Valsad – Velankanni – Dahanu Road station.
Every year, during the fishing ban period from June 1 to July 31, a large number of devotees from the Christian Koli community in Palghar, Thane, Mumbai, and the Mumbai suburbs travel to Velankanni in Tamil Nadu for the pilgrimage.
Approximately 20,000 pilgrims are expected to travel to Velankanni between July 6 and July 16 this year. Therefore, MP Dr. Hemant Savara had requested the provision of a special train service for them.
According to a press release issued by Chief Public Relations Officer, Western Railway, Vineet Abhishek, the details of this train is as under:
Train No. 09030/09029 Valsad – Velankanni – Dahanu Road Special Via Vasai Road [02 Trips]
Train No. 09030 Valsad – Velankanni Special will depart from Valsad on Tuesday, 14th July, 2026 at 18:25 hrs and will reach Velankanni at 10:00 hrs on Thursday. Similarly, Train No. 09029 Velankanni – Dahanu Road Special will depart from Velankanni on Friday, 17th July, 2026 at 00:30 hrs and will arrive Dahanu Road at 14:50 hrs, the next day.
Enroute, this train will halt at Palghar, Vasai Road, Panvel, Lonavla, Pune, Daund, Solapur, Kalaburagi, Wadi, Yadgir, Krishna, Raichur, Manthralayam Road, Adoni, Guntakal, Gooty, Tadipatri, Yerraguntla, Kadapa, Razampeta, Renigunta, Katpadi, Vellore Cantt, Tiruvannamalai, Villupuram, Tirupadirippuliyur, Chidambaram, Mayiladuturai, Thirunallaru, Karaikal, Nagore and Nagappattinam stations in both directions. Train No. 09030 have an additional halt at Dahanu Road station.
This train comprises of AC 3-Tier, Sleeper Class and General Second Class Coaches.
