Transport Minister and ST Corporation Chairman Pratap Sarnaik has informed that a new ST Helpline Number 1800 221 251 has been launched for school and college students who face problems during ST bus travel whether while going to school or returning home. This includes issues like buses not arriving on time, unexpected cancellations, or any trouble during the journey.

The ST Corporation provides bus services to lakhs of students across the state. The state government offers 66.66% concession on monthly passes for school students. Under the Punyashlok Ahilyabai Holkar Yojana, girl students up to Class 12 receive free monthly passes.

During Sarnaik’s visit to the Dharashiv Central Bus Stand, several students shared complaints such as buses not leaving on schedule, not stopping due to heavy crowds, arriving late, or getting cancelled suddenly. These problems cause many students to reach home very late and affect their studies.

If students face delays, cancellations, or technical issues in buses causing difficulty in reaching home, they should immediately contact the ST Helpline 1800 221 251 for quick assistance. Additionally, all schools and colleges are being provided with contact numbers of the 31 departmental controllers, so principals, headmasters, and students can directly reach out during emergencies and report issues.
