Thane: TMC to Launch Health Camps for Women and Children under ‘Swasth Nari Shaktishaali Parivar’ Campaign

Under the ‘Swasth Nari Shaktishaali Parivar’ campaign initiated by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, the Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC) will organise various health screening camps for women and children from September 17 to October 2, 2025.

The campaign will be launched in Thane on Wednesday, September 17 at 11 AM from Lokmanya Tilak Nursing Home (Koras Hospital), Vartaknagar, with a live telecast of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s inaugural address from Indore, Madhya Pradesh.

As part of the initiative, health camps will be conducted at all Urban Primary Health Centers under TMC. Services will include screening for hypertension, diabetes, cancer, heart disease, as well as eye and dental checkups, maternal and child health services, nutrition awareness sessions, yoga and AYUSH camps, TB screening, sickle cell testing, mental health counseling, de-addiction counseling, anemia screening for adolescent girls and women, blood donation, and organ donation pledges. Free medicines will also be distributed.

TMC's Health Department has urged all women, pregnant mothers, and young children in the city to take full advantage of these health services.
