Cyber ​​police station in Thane becomes functional

The Cyber Police Station of Thane Police has finally become functional to investigate cyber crimes in the Thane Commissionerate area. With the new police station, there is a possibility that investigations related to cyber crime will speed up. This police station will have six officers and 30 employees. This police station has been built near the headquarters of Thane Police Commissionerate.

In the last few years, there has been a large increase in urbanisation in Thane district. Similarly, crime cases have also increased. Cyber crimes are happening every day in Thane in the name of the share market, emptying bank accounts by sending a link on mobile, and financial fraud. Citizens of all ages are among the victims of fraud.

There was no separate police station for cyber crime complaints in the Thane Police Commissionerate area. Hence, the police were investigating through the Cyber Crime Investigation Cell. A few months ago, the construction of the cyber police station near the police commissionerate headquarters was completed. On Tuesday, the Cyber Police Station was made operational in the presence of Thane Police Commissioner Ashutosh Dumbre and other officials. Six officers and 30 police personnel including a senior police inspector will be working in this police station.
