Three students from Netivali area were seriously injured when a speeding motor car driver hit them at Patripool near Kalyan on Friday morning. The driver of the motor car did not flee from the spot and admitted the three students to the Shastri Nagar Hospital in Dombivli of the municipality. After being treated by doctors there, these students were released home. All these three students are residents of Netivali, Patripool area. On Friday morning, when they were walking from Patripool to their school in the Malang Rasta area, the accident took place.
Nikhil Tapeshwar Sharma (15), Dipesh Jitendra Sharma (12), Prince Ramesh Sharma (12) were injured in this accident. The motor car driver has been identified as Tanmay Anil Rane (22). Based on Nikhil's complaint at Kolsewadi police station, the police have registered a case of negligent driving against motor car driver Tanmay.

Police said Nikhil, Dipesh and Prince were walking to their school in Malang Garh area on foot from Patripool area as usual on Friday morning. While going along the road, a motor came at high speed from Patripool direction. All the three students fell on the ground in the collision of this car. These students have injuries on their hands, head, feet and mouth.
After the incident, these students started crying. Pedestrians and other motorists helped them. The accused car driver Tanmay also admitted the three students to Shastri Nagar hospital of the municipality without fleeing from the accident spot. There they were given first aid and released home after giving the information to their parents.
The police have registered a case against Tanmay Rane for reckless driving. Assistant Police Sub-Inspector L G Malavkar is investigating the case.
