Water pipeline bursts in Mahim; nearby areas to experience water cut

Thousands of litres of water was wasted after a pipeline burst was reported in Mumbai's Mahim area. As per reports, the incident took place near Mahim causeway on Saturday, December 5, 2020, after which the water was seen gushing out on General Arunkumar Vaidya Road.

Officials are looking into the matter, however, the exact reason for the pipeline burst is not known yet.. 

Furthermore, officials have informed that areas under the ward, which include Mahim, Dadar, Prabhadevi, Shivaji Park, Elphinstone area will face water cut today for a few hours. As informed by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), water supply will be cut off Dadar, Prabhadevi, and Elphiston between 4 pm and 7 pm. Meanwhile, Shivaji Park and Mahim will experience water cut from 7 pm to 10 pm

BMC officials are workers hard to ensure the pipeline is repaired quickly, and if the work is completed on time, there is a possibility of the supply being restored by the night. 

Citizens have been asked to take a note of the same and cooperate.
