Former mayor Vishakha Raut elected civil works committee (city) chairperson

Former mayor and corporator Vishakha Raut has been elected as BMC’s civil works committee (city) chairman while corporator Ameya Ghole has been elected deputy chairman. Both were elected unopposed.

Elections for BMC’s civil works committee (city), civil committee (suburbs) and health committee were held on Thursday. Tulshiram Shinde was elected as chairman of civil works committee (suburbs) while Pramod Shinde was elected as  deputy chairman. No other corporator other than Tulsiram Shinde and Pramod Shinde had filed nominations for these posts and both were elected unopposed. Deputy mayor Hemangi Worlikar acted as a presiding officer.

Rohini Kamble has been elected chairman of health committee while Samadhan Sarvankar was elected deputy chairman.
