Due to the construction of a new water pipeline at Siddheshwar Jalakumbh in the Uthalsar Ward Committee area of Thane Municipal Corporation, water supply will be temporarily suspended in several areas. The 600 mm outlet pipeline of the water tank will be affected during excavation and needs to be relocated. As a result, water supply will be shut down from 9 AM on Wednesday, March 12, to 9 AM on Thursday, March 13.
Affected areas include Siddheshwar Talav, Ramabai Ambedkar Nagar, Ganeshwadi, Nitin Company, Panchpakadi, Sarovar Darshan, Chandanwadi, Hansnagar, Singnagar, Khopat, Flower Valley, Shelar Pada, Gokuldaswadi, Kolbad, and Gokulnagar in Uthalsar Ward, as well as Panchpakadi, Chandanwadi, Municipal area, Charai, and Dhobiali in Naupada Ward. The municipal corporation has urged citizens to use water sparingly during this period.
Residents have repeatedly faced water shortage problems and have requested that any issues be addressed promptly to minimise inconvenience.
