For the convenience of passengers and to clear the extra rush during the festive season, Western Railway (WR) will run two pairs of Velankanni Special Trains on Special Fare between Bandra Terminus – Velankanni and Valsad – Velankanni – Dahanu Road.
According to a press release issued by Public Relations Department, Western Railway, the details of these trains are as under:
1. Train No. 09059/09060 Bandra Terminus – Velankanni Special
Train No. 09059 Bandra Terminus – Velankanni Special will depart from Bandra Terminus on Thursday, 27th August, 2026 and Tuesday, 01st September, 2026 at 21:30 hrs and will reach Velankanni at 10:05 hrs on Saturday and Thursday respectively. Similarly, Train No. 09060 Velankanni – Bandra Terminus Special will depart from Velankanni on Sunday, 30th August, 2026 and Friday, 04th September, 2026 at 00:45 hrs and will arrive Bandra Terminus at 15:00 hrs, the next day.
Enroute this train will halt at Borivali, Vasai Road, Panvel, Karjat, Lonavala, Pune, Daund, Solapur, Wadi, Yadgir, Krishna, Raichur, Mantralayam Road, Adoni, Guntakal, Gooty, Tadipatri, Yerraguntla, Kadapa, Razampeta, Renigunta, Katpadi, Vellore Cantt, Tiruvannamalai, Villupuram, Mayiladuturai and Nagappattinam stations in both directions.
This train comprises of AC 2-Tier, AC 3-Tier, Sleeper Class and General Second-Class coaches.
2. Train No. 09061/09062 Valsad – Velankanni – Dahanu Road Special
Train No. 09061 Valsad – Velankanni Special will depart from Valsad on Sunday,
6th September, 2026 at 19:40 hrs and will reach Velankanni at 10:05 hrs on Tuesday. Similarly, in the return direction, the train will run up to Dahanu Road station, i.e., Train No. 09062 Velankanni – Dahanu Road Special will depart from Velankanni on Tuesday, 8th September, 2026 at 15:10 hrs and will arrive at Dahanu Road at 05:30 hrs on Thursday.
Enroute, this train will halt at Palghar, Vasai Road, Panvel, Karjat, Lonavala, Pune, Daund, Solapur, Wadi, Yadgir, Krishna, Raichur, Mantralayam Road, Adoni, Guntakal, Gooty, Tadipatri, Yerraguntla, Kadapa, Razampeta, Renigunta, Katpadi, Vellore Cantt, Tiruvannamalai, Villupuram, Mayiladuturai and Nagappattinam stations in both directions.
Train No. 09061 will have additional halts at Vapi and Dahanu Road stations.
This train comprises of AC 2-Tier, AC 3-Tier, Sleeper Class and General Second Class coaches.
