Goregaon- There is a heap of garbage lying in the vicinity of Ram Mandir, Somanigram, Milan Society, R 8, R 14 and R 15 buildings. Residents say they live in fear of contracting dengue, due to the waste lying around which can attract mosquitoes. In addition, old abandoned cars parked behind these buildings are causing further nuisance, the residents claim. They have complained to the local corporator Kiran Patel but no action has been taken yet. When contacted, Patel said that the Milan society falls under the jurisdiction of the MMRDA and hence the BMC cannot be held responsible for its cleanliness.
