Dongri building collapses; woman fear to be trapped

On Wednesday, September 2, in the wee hours of Mumbai, the back portion of an eight-storey building collapsed in Dongri.

According to sources, a woman is feared to be trapped under the dilapidated structure. Fire brigade, police and ambulances have rushed to the spot as a result and rescue operations have known to be underway.

As per officials, the incident took place at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Road in Dongri area around 7.30 am when the entire back portion between the third and seventh floors of the old building collapsed.

In other news, a redeveloped residential building collapsed in Nalasopara, Mumbai, Wednesday early morning as well. Moreover, five families escaped amidst the dilapidated structure. No casualties have been reported as of now.
