Mahanand milk to cost more

Mumbai - The acquisition price of milk sold by Mahanand dairy has shot up by Rs 2 within 15 days.

This is due to a reduced supply of milk from the Shetkari Sahakari Dudh Utpadak Sangh. The current rate per litre is Rs 27. Earlier on 8 December, the rate of milk was hiked from Rs 25 to 26. According to sources, due to a hike in buying rate, distribution expenses and processing expenses, the customers will ultimately have to pay a higher price for Mahanand milk in the near future.
