Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul have been heavily criticised for their comments on women on the TV show, Koffee With Karan and as a result, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has suspended them from playing any matches for the time span. They have been sent to India to face a committee which is set up to inquire their ‘inappropriate’ comments on women.
After the duo drew flak on social media, now veteran India spinner Harbhajan Singh has lashed out at Rahul and Pandya for tarnishing the image of the game and those who play it. The off-spinner also stated that he won’t be comfortable having Pandya and Rahul around his daughter and wife.
I will not travel with these two guys in the bus if my daughter or my wife are travelling in the team bus with me. How would they feel? You are looking at women in only one angle and that is not right. We don't talk about all this even with our friends and they were talking in public, on national television. Now people might think was Harbhajan Singh like this, was Anil Kumble like this and was Sachin Tendulkar...," said Harbhajan said.
Soon, the Indian selectors will name their replacements for the ODI series against Australia and the tour to New Zealand.
On the other hand, Virat Kohli said that the Indian team doesn’t stand by Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul for their ‘inappropriate’ comments on women during their conversation with Karan Johar.
