On June 6, Virat Kohli’s wax statue was unveiled at the popular Madame Tussauds in Delhi.
Virat Kohli is the third Indian cricketer to have his wax statue at Madame Tussauds after Sachin Tendulkar and Kapil Dev. However, just within two days of the unveiling, the wax statue of the Indian skipper has been damaged by the enthusiastic fans on June 8.
Talking about the same, an official from Madame Tussauds said that Kohli is an icon amongst Indians and became a huge attraction right from the time the statue was unveiled. People have been really eager to take a photo or two with the statue, which probably led to the damage.
However, the museum authorities noticed the damage quickly and sent the statue for repairs.
The statement said, “Yes, it was damaged. But now the statue has been rectified. Kohli's statue ear was damaged due to some reason. We have fixed it immediately and fans are most welcome to visit the museum to take the photos with the India captain's statue.”
