IPL 2022: MI's Win Paved Way For RCB In The Playoffs; Delhi Out The League

Despite all twist and turns, especially with David walking back at the 18th over, Mumbai Indians managed to win its last match of this season of Indian Premium League (IPL) played at Wankhede stadium in Mumbai.

Moreover, this also comes as a good news for all Virat Kohli and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) as today's Paltans' win has qualified the former team to the playoffs.

Fielding errors, bowling errors and captaincy errors cost Delhi Capitals their chance of making the playoffs as Mumbai Indians ended their season on a high with a five-wicket win at the Wankhede Stadium.

Though it was bad beginning this season for MI, the paltans made an impressive start to their final game in IPL 2022 ensuring DC are out of the race to the playoffs.

After the match, Tim said: "I think we've played some good cricket in the last six games, we've won four out of them. That's really important for us as a group going forward."

Ramandeep Singh finished the match with a smashing four.

Chasing a target of 160, MI had lost Rohit Sharma early in their chase. However, Ishan Kishan and Dewald Brevis put them back in the contest, before both were dismissed in quick succession. With the required run-rate mounting up, Tim David and Tilak Varma played cameos of 34 and 21 helped set a pace for MI to successfully achieve its target.
