After the Mumbai senior selection committee stepped down last week hours prior to the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA)'s ad-hoc committee meeting, Mumbai's U-16 chief selector Atul Ranade has now decided to resign from his post.

The alleged reason behind Ranade's resignation is the kind of behaviour with the Ajit Agarkar-led Mumbai senior selection committee. The committee had resigned after the cricket association had held a Special General Meeting (SGM) to decide the replacement for Agarkar & Co. on February 21.

Meanwhile, along with Ranade, it was speculated that Mumbai's junior selectors would tender resignation too. However, till yesterday, none of the junior selectors other than Ranade has resigned.
