Indian Premier League (IPL) finalists Mumbai Indians have once again shown how much they care about their players as the Ambani-owned franchise has organised West Indies bowler Alzarri Joseph's surgery. The Caribbean pacer had impressed everyone with a dream debut as he claimed 6/12 and finished with the best ever bowling figures by a bowler in IPL.
However, while playing against Rajasthan Royals, Joseph dislocated his shoulder and suffered an injury that ruled him out of not only the IPL but also the World Cup that is to be hosted by England.

Therefore, in order to help the pacer recover as soon as possible, Mumbai Indians have taken the pacer under their wings and will look after him till he is fit to bowl again. Meanwhile, the entire process could take around four to five months.
He has been in Mumbai throughout and his situation was assessed and the surgery was done on April 30. He is currently recovering and has no movement on the shoulder as it is strapped. One of his family members is here to stay by his side. All his treatment and rehab will be taken care of by MI. He will be shifting to the MI guest house in Navi Mumbai and continue physiotherapy for the next two to three months at the Sir H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital," a source told IANS.
This is not the first time Mumbai Indians have shown care towards an injured player until he takes the field. Prior to Joseph, Mumbai had taken care of former MI player Pawan Suyal, who was injured and was declared unfit to play.
