MMPL 2018: Shivaji Park Superstars lose second game in a row

Rohan Sadarjoshi, Amey Kothavle starred for Santacruz Crackers as they beat Shivaji Park Superstars by 10 runs in Mumbai Masters Premier League (MMPL) on Sunday, February 4 at Police Gymkhana.

Santacruz Crackers won the toss and elected to bat first.

Ashish Rao and Mehul Kamath opened the batting for SC but Rohan Sadarjoshi's 61 off 39 balls helped them score 147/5. Dinesh Sawant bagged two wickets for SPS in his four overs and it was a close game when SPS started batting, chasing 148 for a win.

Sudhanshu Pradhan and Amar Padhye started the second innings in a solid manner with 19 and 39 runs each but after the opening batsmen lost their wickets, the middle order just faltered thanks to Amey Kothavle's bowling. He bagged 4-22 in his 4 overs.

Saurabh Joshi and Prashant Gawade tried to rescue the game for SPS but it wasn't enough as they fell 10 runs short.

Next game becomes crucial for SPS after two successive defeats.
