Dharavi – A 24-year-old bike rider lost his life after coming under the wheels of a BEST bus. This incident took place at Dharavi’s Sion- Bandra link road on Tuesday morning.
Deceased Mohammed Israr Hashim used to reside at Dharavi’s Abubakar chawl. Deceased Mohammed left for work in the morning on his bike. While he was on his way on Sion- Bandra link road, Mohammed lost his balance and he came under the wheels of BEST bus no. 348. According to the eyewitness, Mohammed died on the spot as the bus went over his head.
Dharavi police reached the spot and after doing panchnama, they sent the body to Sion hospital and took the bus driver in custody, informed senior PI Suryakant Bangar.
The bus driver told police that he heard some loud noise and pedestrians asked him to stop. He said he didn't even realise when the bike rider had come under the bus.
