The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has taken action against properties linked to alleged underworld figure Iqbal Mirchi in Mumbai, attaching assets worth over INR 500 crore after a long-running investigation spanning more than three decades.

According to reports, the seized properties are located in premium areas of Mumbai, including Worli, and are believed to be connected to Mirchi’s alleged illegal wealth and offshore dealings. The action is part of a broader crackdown on assets suspected to have been acquired through illicit activities and money laundering networks.

Officials stated that the investigation has been ongoing for nearly 32 years, involving multiple agencies and international cooperation to trace and secure properties linked to the case.

The move marks one of the significant enforcement actions targeting suspected underworld-linked assets in Mumbai’s real estate sector.
