ED seizes Rs 18.37 crore from Zakir Naik's accounts

The Enforcement Directorate has seized Rs. 18.37 crore from self proclaimed Islamic guru Zakir Naik. 

Naik is being accused of having disproportionate assets and having joined hands with the ISI and for conducting hate speeches. The ED has seized Rs 18.37 crore from Naik, which constitutes his bank balance, properties and mutual funds.

On Monday, the National Investigation Agency filed a summons against Zakir Naik and has asked him to present himself by 30 March in the NIA Delhi High Court. Currently, Naik is reported to be in Saudi Arabia. According to NIA officials, if Naik fails to attend the court hearing, a red corner notice will be issued against him.
