Flying drone lands three in police net

Mumbai – The Mumbai Police is serious about the ban on drones in the city skies. The Charkop police have arrested three persons for illegally flying a drone in the Charkop area. The accused have been identified as Rahul Jaiswal (24), Rana Singh (25) and Vidhichand Jaiswal (45) and police have seized two drones and one i-Pad from them. Crime Branch’s Unit 11 had started investigations into the Charkop incident and detained Rahul Jaiswal and Rana Singh after screening the CCTV footage. Both are engaged in shooting for movies and have confessed to flying a drone for the purpose of film shooting. Another accused, Vidhichand Jaiswal, owns the drones which he gives out on rent. It is pertinent to note that the Mumbai police had banned flying drones without permission, considering the threat of terror attacks from the skies.
