Gold seized at airport, 3 including 2 women held

Mumbai - Customs department sleuths have arrested three persons for smuggling gold at Mumbai international airport on Wednesday night. Total gold weighing 450 gms was seized from these persons who are identified as Sulochana Keshwani, Mohini Lalwani and Akash Makhijani. According to information, Customs department staff seized four gold bars from these two women who had concealed it under their rear private parts. The collective worth of this seized gold is stated to be Rs 13.65 lakh. In another case, customs officials arrested one Akash Makhijani for smuggling gold biscuits weighing 270 gms worth Rs 8.25 lakh. He had also used the same method to conceal these gold bars.
