Once again, a pothole has claimed a life and this time, it happened in Bhiwandi. 30-year-old Ganesh Shantaram Patil was injured after his bike lost its control over a pothole in Bhiwandi. He was then admitted to a private hospital in Thane, where he died during treatment.
Two days ago, Patil was riding back home on his bike when he hit the pothole on Bhiwandi-Wada road near Palke village. His bike skid and he dashed against the divider. Local people immediately took him to a nearby hospital.

According to local people, this was not the first incident when people have met with an accident due to potholes. Localities also demanded to file a criminal case against Supreme Construction who has built the road in BOT basis.
Patil is survived by his parents, wife and 23 day-old-baby.
