Mumbai: Child dies due to electric shock in Mulund

A six-year-old boy died after touching an open electric wire while playing outdoors in Mulund on Sunday. In this regard, Mulund police have registered a case of accidental death and started an investigation. The deceased child has been identified as Arnav Bhandari (age 6).

Arnav lived with his family in the Shankar hill area of Mulund. Around four in the afternoon on Sunday, he was playing with the cat outside the house. There were some exposed electrical wires. He was electrocuted when he touched one of the exposed wires. He was seriously injured. His father immediately admitted him to a private hospital. But as he was not treated there, he was shifted to another hospital. But the child died before the treatment started. In this regard, Mulund police registered a case of accidental death and sent the body to Rajawadi Hospital for post-mortem.
