Mumbai - The Crime Branch unit of the Mumbai police have arrested Shailesh Manjrekar (36) for running a fake detective agency. Prior to his arrest, police also nabbed Laxman Thakur (30) and Kirtesh Kavi (44).

According to the police, Manjrekar used to sell call details of mobile numbers under the pretext of running a detective agency. Following a tip off, the Crime Branch laid a trap by sending a dummy customer to Manjrekar and asked for three months' old call data. Manjrekar closed the deal at Rs. 50,000, and that was when the Crime Branch officers stepped in and caught Manjrekar red handed while he was transferring away the data. The CB also seized data belonging to 134 mobile numbers.
