In a horrifying incident, a youth allegedly lost his life, all because he asked for a girl's mobile number.
The incident occurred in Powai, where 20 year old Sachin Hemade was stabbed to death while saving his elder brother Rupesh. Police say Rupesh Hemade had asked for a girl's mobile number, at Tekdipada, Powai a day before Holi. She did not share her number but informed her parents about it instead.
The enraged relatives of the girl attacked Rupesh Hemade a few hours after the Holi bonfire was lit over the weekend. Sachin who intervened to save his brother was attacked as well.
Police say Sachin was stabbed in his thigh with a broken beer bottle which left him bleeding profusely. Sachin was rushed to hospital but was declared dead on arrival.
