Wadala – Wadala police have succeeded in arresting a history-sheeter thief. The accused identified as Sunny Waghmare (20) is a resident of Kokri Agar and he was detained on Tuesday.
According to information, the accused had broke open the house of one Shamsud Shaikh on the midnight of February 27 and stole valuable objects. Shaikh noticed the theft on returning home late night. He immediately registered a complaint in Wadala TT police station. Senior police inspector Sushil Kamble directed his subordinates to immediately arrest all the noted thieves from the area. The police started investigating the matter and the name of Sunny Waghmare came to fore. He was already under police scanner as 5 theft cases were registered against him. Police kept watch on Sunny’s movements and finally arrested him on Tuesday. On interrogating him, Sunny accepted to have committed the crime. Police have seized some cash and other valuables from him and further investigation is underway.
