With the help of Police Didi initiative of Mumbai police, a father was arrested for sexually molesting her daughter. This incident came to light when a 14-year-old girl told the police about her father touching her inappropriately.
Considering the number of molestation cases rising against children, Mumbai Police introduced the Police Didi initiative, where police teach students about good touch and bad touch. This very thing helped the girl to open up about the ordeal she was going through.
The 14-year-old victim resides with her family in Agripada area. Once a month, the Police Didi initiative takes place in each and every school across the state. During this initiative, the victim learned that she was being abused by her own father.
After she complained, an NGO came to her rescue and registered a police complaint against her father. Police are further investigating the case.
