Actor Salman Khan found guilty in the blackbuck poaching case

Actor Salman Khan found guilty in the blackbuck poaching case, the verdict was announced today morning at Jodhpur court. Actors Saif Ali Khan, Tabu, Sonali Bendre and Neelam are acquitted in the case. Salman Khan has been convicted under Section 51 of the Wildlife (Protection) Act. As per the act, the actor can be imprisoned for six years.

In the year 1998 during the shoot of film Hum Saath Saath Hai, blackbuck poaching case was filed against Bollywood actors Salman Khan, Neelam, Saif Ali Khan, Tabu, Sonali Bendre. Salman and his co-stars had been accused of killing two blackbucks on October 2, 1998, in Kankani village in Jodhpur.The hearing of the blackbuck case had been in progress for the last 20 years. Judge Dev Kumar Khatri reserved the order after the final arguments on March 28.
